This is one of my favorite places to take a walk with my three year old son because it is shaddy and the path is packed down which makes it easy for him to walk on.
Albany Pine Bush Preserve
The blue trail at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve is a great place to take a walk. It is 0.9 miles which is the perfect distance for my son that is three years old.

Bauer Park Walking Trail in the Village of Colonie
My three year old son loves this walk because the whole trail is a boardwalk. However, be careful because the boards can be slippery when wet.
