Stories and Art in the Park | Capital District Moms

The Albany Public Library, the City of Albany Department of Recreation, WMHT and Albany Barn host “Stories and Art in the Park” which is story time and a few songs followed by an art activity in Washington Park (right next to the playground). The event is free and is for children up to five years old with a caregiver.  (Rain Site – Washington Ave Branch)

The pictures below were taken at Stories and Art in the Park on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Story time lasted approximately 20 minutes. There were three books read and a few songs.
Books read on July 8th:
If you Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff
The Napping House by Audrey Wood
Walking through the Jungle by Julie Lacome

There were two craft activities after story time (making a moon & making a bird).
Story time is held near the playground so children were able to enjoy the playground after as well.
