1. Free Family Swim at Goldfish Swim School in Colonie


Thursday 12/26 12pm-2pm

2. Visit the NYS Museum (admission is free)

3. Tour the New York State Capitol


Tours are free and last up to one hour

4. Ice Skating at Empire State Plaza


Ice skating is free; however, you have to pay to rent skates.
**Every Saturday there is free skate rentals sponsored by Hannaford.

5. Grab a Museum Pass from your local library

Every library has different museum passes so make sure to look around if you are looking for a specific museum.

Below are some of the museum passes that can be found at the Colonie Library.

  • Albany Institute of History and Art
  • Children’s Museum at Saratoga
  • Children’s Museum of Science and Technology
  • Empire State Aerosciences Museum
  • FASNY Museum of Firefighting
  • Museum of Innovation and Science (MiSci)
