MEDUSA LACROSSE
Established in 2011 on Long Island, a hot bed for talented lacrosse players, Medusa Lacrosse has expanded upstate into Saratoga. Founded by two sisters, Jackie and Alex Fiore, Division 1 Collegiate alumns of Boston College and Princeton University, Medusa Lacrosse aims to teach young athletes the fundamentals of the game. THE RED BOOKSHELF
The RED Bookshelf is a non-profit community literacy program. Working with community partners, we provides free children’s books on bright red bookshelves throughout Albany to ensure that all children have access to the benefits of book ownership, regardless of income level. Grassroot Givers aims to spark a love for books in children and adults across the Capital Region. THE FRIENDS BOOKS SHOP
The Friends Book Shop is a used book store located on the first floor of the Saratoga Springs Public Library. It is run by the Friends of the Saratoga Springs Public Library and provides significant money for the enhancement of the library and its programs. It carries children’s and adult books, CDs, records, DVDs, and puzzles.
WHITNEY BOOK CORNER
The Whitney Book Corner is a used book store in Schenectady run by the Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library. The store is staffed by volunteers and all items in the store were donated. The Whitney Book Corner opened in 2002 and just celebrated their 20th Anniversary! In 2022 the store relocated to 105 Clinton Street in Schenectady.
