CIDER DOUGHNUT TASTING

Do you love cider doughnuts? Do you have a favorite place to get cider doughnuts from? If there were multiple cider doughnuts in front of you, do you think you could identify your favorite cider doughnut? If so, you will probably love setting up a cider doughnut tasting with your friends or family!

Here are some things to think about when setting up a cider doughnut tasting.

  1. Decide what farms/businesses you will purchase doughnuts from.
  2. How many people will be participating in the tasting?
  3. How many doughnuts will you purchase from each business?
  4. How many pieces will you cut each doughnut into?
  5. What is your budget?
  6. Some businesses may run out of doughnuts at the end of the day so try not to go at the end of the day!
  7. Keep in mind that some farms may be very busy on the weekends during peak apple season.
Most of the bags look similar so make sure to bring a pen with you to mark the bags when you go to pick up the doughnuts.

We bought three doughnuts from each business. We decided to only cut up two doughnuts so that we could compare the other doughnuts.

Number the different doughnuts. Designate one person to know which doughnuts came from which business.
We got doughnuts from five local businesses. We hadn’t been in a few of these businesses before so it was nice to go in and look around!
